Winter is a comin in........RAIN!
I wanted to get a dbl century showers pass jacket....but they are just outta stock everywhere! any hints? Is the elite worth almost another 100 dollars? Is there another one you guys have found effective?

Also, I'm interested in what you wear if you don't wear "cycling clothes"...I'm not going to be doing much more than neighborhood jaunts and trail rides until at least spring...heehee....and wonder what you have found to be comfortable and safe...

I've been wearing my yoga pants....and like the idea of some knicker/capris that aren't spandex or tight fitting....nothing fancy. Not a fan of sweat pants....

Also, besides TE where do you find your stuff?

thanks

elizabeth

I buy most all of my clothes second hand, the exception being cycling shorts. Those I bought new.
You can find a lot that way. It's cheap, and it's recycling.
I wear a pair of yoga strech pants by Nike (second hand, $6) over my bike shorts when it's cold. The bottoms, unfortunately, are the usual flare, so I took some velcro straps and just put those on when I am riding.
Under my jersey I wear Kenyon long underwear (cuz they're local and often have warehouse sales.) Sierra is having a great sale on sports long underwear right now that you can get the same price as secondhand - here is the link: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/search/SearchResults.aspx?allWords=kenyon&searchDescriptions=True
