Since the tour is on a commercial I thought I would start this!
Went out on the lbs's shop ride. It is supposed to be a no drop ride,to get more women out, but because of the thought of more women, you get a lot of testosterone showing up :-) (it has become a recovery ride for most)
It was an out and back loop of 26 miles. I ended up in the front of the ride on the way out, leading with a couple guys. On the way back everyone turned off to go over a draw bridge and down a rode that ran parallel to the one we were on, but me and 2 other guys didn't realize that they were turning(it wasn't said-bad ride leader!) So the 2 guys and I rode the next 2 miles hard to the next major street (started out sprinting, and ended up riding it like an interval) and we cut over that draw bridge and we ended up just in front of the pack.
Very good ride, felt great to be able to get out there with other people. (I am usually leaving my house at 6:30 to get to the barn to start riding/teaching by 8, but today the barn is packing up to go off for 2 weeks of shows and I am staying back to take care of those who don't go)
It was quite interesting also being one of 3 girls on the ride with 15+ men, I got my ear talked off! (the new guy in my life was on the ride, but he was sitting in the back b/c he raced last night and was using it as a recovery ride)
Hope everyone else has good rides today!
