Polar CS200cad or CS400: Anyone use them

Am in the market for a new bike computer for my roadbike with cadence function and I like the idea of having my heart rate displayed on it as well. My current HRM unit is quite big on my wrist and annoys me after an hour or so on the bike and often hurts my wrist after lon MTB rides. It looks like a choice between these two models but am struggling to find reviews on the CS400 in particular as its quite new. The CS400 has an altimeter built in which may be useful on my offroad rides.

The CS400 is also twice the price of the CS200 and I'd have to buy a separate cadence unit (as well as two speed kits for my MTBs regardless of model). I think what I'm asking is: how good are they and is the CS400 worth twice the CS200 ?

I've also ordered a RS200sd today with footpod for running - my poor bank account!

i have the cs200cad and find it very convenient. its all wireless, one sensor for both speed and cadence. attaches to the chainstay (so you can see your mph on a trainer unlike older model cycle computers). you can choose what to display. i dont like seeing the odometer, so when i'm riding mine shows speed, avg speed, HR, cadence and current time. when youre done it'll page thru and show you your elapsed time/distance/HR/cadence yadayadayada. you can also directly download from the cycle computer to the polar web site (kind of like a bikejournal). all in all i like it.

I use the CS200 without cadence, and I like it fine. The display is clear and easy to read, the information is uploadable, and it gives me all the info I want. I'm not wild about the way it's mounted to the handlebar. I had a way cheaper unit that had a much better mounting system, but that one isn't made any longer (Supergo). The setup is a little complex, but if you go to the Polar online site, you'll find some online videos that walk you through setting up and using the thing.

I've decided to go with the 200 as I'll be using it on my MTB as well. I was discussing it with one of my riding buddies last night and he reminded me of a recent crash where I flew over the bars into a foot deep stream and left the bike there. I'd be gutted if I'd paid a silly amount of money for a computer then dunked it in a stream!

Its got all I really need and I'm looking forward to working on my cadence when commuting to work as it'll give me something to think about rather than wishing I was wearing an Ipod.

I'll be mounting mine to the stem as I prefer that, I think it protects the computer a bit more on the MTB in the event of a crash and as I use the roadie for commuting I have a light and a small backup light on the bars until mid-spring so there is no room for anything else!
