This builder, Richard Moon of Moon Cycles (http://www.cwo.com/~lunarlab/), is in Folsom, just a hop, skip and not even a jump from my office. We need to do an email campaign to get him to the Handmade Bike Show. He's not on the list.

Did you go through his gallery? Serious lust problems. His prices and delivery time are pretty reasonable.

Even tho, like Brian Bayliss, he does have an unfortunate tendency for over-the-top froufrou lugs and paintjobs. But he doesn't quite reach Baylis' level of gagitude, imho.
The chromed lugs outlined in gold on the dark blue bike are stunning.
ed to add: Oh, Baylis does the paint jobs. That 'splains a lot.
ed some more to add: His simpler bikes are very very nice, and you're right, his prices are very reasonable.

If you want gagitude, check out the Mercian/Baylis/Paul Smith (http://www.merciancycles.com/psmith_tour.asp)joint effort. Tour and track versions available.
You know a gargoyle head badge could be kind of cool. We've all looked like that at one time or another on the bike. Kind of an empathetic bond with the bike.

The spin on the traditional Mercian barber pole is kind of fun actually. But it would clash with our AV jerseys. Guess I'll have to pass on this one.
