How do I downsize a picture so I can put as my profile picture?

I have a picture I would like to put into my profile on TE. However, when I tried to insert it, it said it was too big. It is saying it needs to be 200 x 200, i thnk it is 408x944. It shows on my computer as 237 kb size and 240kb on disk. the te site says it needs to be 200 x 200 or 19.5 kb. How do I downsize this?

you need software to do this.

    Hi spokewench

I can help you with this (if you want) or you can wait for Tabby. It is actually pretty simple and would take just a few minutes.

    Ciao

    This might work.....

When you get to the place where you're adding your photo, try right clicking on your photo. There should be lots of choices that come up, one that is "resize picture".
On my computer, I can choose "custom", and put in 100 X 100 pixels, or 100 X 80 pixels.

    Hopefully, that might help you.?

I'm not really computer literate, but seem to get by.

PM me if I can help you further.

    Have a peaceful day!

It's your avatar picture that shows when you post. Go to User CP, then Edit Avatar and upload it there.
