    ergonomics?

aches, pains, I guess that means the question fits here:

my elbows hurt when I ride for a few hours!

And here's how my question about ergonomics fits in:

My bike is a Specialized Expedition. The handle bars are more like the mountain bike style than road bike style, but not flat, you know? So, thinking about the neutral position for arms/hands, when I ride thirty or more miles on my bike, my hands are rotated inwards, which affects my whole arm line up, you know?

Is this something that everyone with straight bars deals with?

I'm itching for a road bike at some point anyway, but is this another case for the different style? I suppose it's possible the bar end thingies would help, but we don't want to be telling that to DH, who claims that after putting a new seat, a longer seat post, AND slicks on my bike, I've made enough modifications already for it to be good enough for YEARS before I "need" a new bike again!

people with road bike bars have all sorts of problems too. You might get yourself checked by a fitting expert in a lbs.
