Flagstaff AZ Ladies No Drop Ride August 6th

For all those ladies who are going crazy with the heat in Phoenix/Southern Arizona, Here is an opportunity to come ride in cooler beautiful northern Arizona. FLAGSTAFF!

There will be a Ladies No Drop Ride on Sunday August 6, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. starting at the Mailboxes on Lake Mary Road.

For those that are unfamiliar with the no drop ladies rides, the info is as follows:

WOMEN’S NO DROP RIDE

TRAINING AND SKILLS BUILDING

Lake Mary Road approximately 35 miles
Average Speed 15 miles per hour

The purpose of the NO DROP RIDE is to introduce riders to road riding skills and etiquette and to make pack riding enjoyable and safe. Come ready to listen, learn and have fun.

If you avoid riding in groups because you are unsure of your handling skills and road riding etiquette, these rides are for you.

If you enjoy riding with groups but find the men’s groups a little too fast or want to ride a little slower some days, these rides are for you.

Skills such as pace lines (rotating, double, echelon), riding comfortably close together, tips for being more comfortable on your bike, will be discussed and practiced on these rides. COME JOIN THE FUN!

Please call Jan Blackman, at 556-0255 for information regarding the rides or for final confirmation of start times. Please do not call after 9:00 p.m.

START OF ALL RIDES will be on Lake Mary Road Mailboxes (where Lake Mary widens) Park on the side of the road or ride your bike out for extra mileage.

Oh, what a fun sounding ride! Too bad my brother's getting married in Pittsburgh that day. Please keep us posted if there will be any more!

I usually do one of these rides per month. So, I will be leading another in Sept and Oct. After that, the weather is too iffy up here!
