Talking Got a new bike--I'm stoked!!

The bike hunt ended this weekend while we were up in Colorado Springs visiting the ILs. I am the proud new owner of a fabulous Bianchi road bike I lucked out and they had a 2005 Veloce on the floor in my size (the 2006 doesn't have a triple, but the 2005 does), and it felt awesome when I test rode it. The Campy brakes/shifters are so nice--they fit my little hands! Also, it's that great Celeste color I am totally in love I got it for $800 under list--if anyone is reasonably near to CoSpr, I highly recommend Bicycle Village--the prices were awesome and the service was great. I think they have a couple other locations in Colorado also. I will try to post a photo here--we'll see if it works.

Wow, what a gorgeous bike! I would _die_ without a triple.

    Thanks!

Thank you all for your replies The saddle has to go (it's narrower than my sit bones even at its widest part), and I am still getting used to the Look-type clipless, but overall I love it and am completely happy I am kind of debating having some cheater brakes (I guess they call them cross brakes now) installed also, but it's negotiable, since the Campy reach is so good. Any opinions on that?

Mimi--it's the 49 cm size. I rode the 44 also, but it was too small. The 49 feels just right

I just got a new bike also. My first rode bike! I got a LeMond - Reno, women's bike. Now I won't have to ride my old cross bike in our century rides this year! Yea!

    That's My bike too!

I got my 2005 Veloce last spring. I had to order her and pay extra because I wanted the the Celest color. The older modle Veloce they had in stock were on sale in blue or red if I remember. Congratulations on getting such a great deal! I love the triple and use all 30 of those gears on the hills. You are right about the seat. It had to go! She is a much better bike than I am a rider, but with her help I am improving! I like everything about my Bianchi. I am sure you will too. I wish you many happy and safe miles.

Yeah another Bianchi convert!!! I have the Eros Donna. I was thinking of the cross overs as well, but after riding it across the state last week, I really don't think I need them.

Don't think of it as getting hot flashes. Think of it as your inner child playing with matches
