I completed the Eastern Sierra double century. it was hot and tougher than I expected, though a screaming fast last 40 miles helped me finish before dark. Rode thru huge dark cloud swarm of bees at 158 miles at 30 mph. couldn't avoid them. Hurt like crazy - they hit all over me so hard like someone threw rocks at me. Only a few stings, but on benadryl so sleepy. full report to follow, but it will be a while..

You're an ANIMAL! Can't wait to read your report. Did you count how many times you got stung? OUCH! Veronica says to have an extra ice cream at Cold Stone today (she's sitting here with me in Salt Lake)!
WOW! TO push hard for 40 miles at the end of a double century when stung by bees. Amazing. I'm guessing the word "can't" doesn't feature heavily into your vocabulary? Congratulations. Looking forward to the full report. L.
