Oooo. Those ramps look fun! Think I could get away with making some in my local park?
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.
We were riding around an area in Yorkshire known as the Peak District - specifically Langsett and Ladybower.
The ramps are great for learning on - It was my elder daughter's first go at jumping, and it only took her two attempts before she was able to hold the bike level (i stayed out of trouble behind the camera!)
The family we biked with live in Yorkshire, and have access to lots of great trails. The ramps are home made at varying heights, the little park where we set them up is just across the road from their home.
Wow that looks like a fun and beautiful ride! And super to see kids out with mum and dad. My husband has always wanted to hike across the British Isles. I say biking looks like the way to go!
I want to build some ramps too!
Biking would definitely be the way to go - you get to see so much more in the time you have available -
I'm thinking perhaps I should start an internet business selling ramps in kit form!
Polly, Are you close are you to Essex? My neice, on this board as UK Eliphant is there. I don't think she has a MTB right now though.

Essex is about an hour and a half's drive away from me - maybe a little more.
My husband was born in Essex and I was born in the neighbouring county of Suffolk
I'm probably the closest one to Essex...

What sweet looking kids! Great pictures! Thanks for sharing them.

tlkiwi is righ, she is probably the closest to me. London is an hour or so away by train from where I live. Yorshire looks beautiful, but I have no idea how long it would be to get there seeing as I don't have a car at the moment. But if anyone wants to meet up for a UK TE ride some time, let me know. I love taking the train, love travelling and love cycling......
