Ack! I have a long lost friend who is thinking about ride plans for that weekend. I want to do both! Bubba is out of town for the week so I'll be looking for activities (other than my usual housecleaning because I can accomplish more when he's gone).

What, where and when? I'll do what I can.

Well, I think it is a long weekend, anyway. It looks like Saturday afternoon will be the time. I am not sure if she's free Sunday or if she has to go to this conference? Fish?

Sunday looks good for me, too. I'm sure everyone is working Wed, but there's nothing I need to see until 6pm, too.

MP had lots of suggestions, so we could split it up, or just pick one day, or do a little, or do it all... I'm pretty flexible.

Well, let's do something Saturday afternoon and then maybe do a drive up the coast or wine tasting or something Sunday.

    Who's in? Suggested activities?

MP, can you drift this into another thread since logistics are involved? I haven't noticed that TD has any logic to it at all. Otherwise, I'll show up at the wrong place and time.

Whoa, that kiddo can ride a bike!

There is like NO trail on that fixie... I'd crash it in 2 seconds flat. I'd love to see a mechanical analysis of the geometry of that critter.

Trek - I'm heading to SF over Labor Day weekend. We're now making plans in the CA thread. Come on over!

Maybe I could pick up the book when I'm there! I could read it on the plane and then send it along.

    It's raining! It's raining!

I just went in the kitchen, where the window's open, and noticed the smell of rain. Came back through the curtained off door to the semi-cooled rest of the apartment, and heard the rain start falling! There's even thunder! Blessed be!

They've been saying that the temps are going to drop 20-25 degrees once the rain comes through. Imagine my dismay when I came out of work today and it was still 102 degrees and sunny. I am so glad to see the rain.

Y'all don't forget to take pictures of your SF reunion! Wish I could join you. L.

I'm pretty excited. A girlfriend I used to work with who moved away three and a half years ago has moved back to the next small town over from me, and stalked me on the Internet, and found me. It's someone that was a sort of instant kindred spirit when we first met- but then she moved on to bigger and better things. She's one of very few girls from work that I actually socialized with away from work. I can't wait to see her again.
