Poll - do you use warming embrocations, sports oils?

    Hi Ladies,

One of our suppliers wants us to carry a line of warming embrocations and "sports massage / recovery" oils. Is this type of product something you use and/or are interested in?

I'd be interested if they were free of parabens and other nasty carcinogens.

I am interested. I even posted a question a while back asking if anyone uses sports creams or warm-up creams. I ended up ordering some Ozone spray, for before and after biking.

Sounds nice after a cold or hard ride, but I probably wouldn't spend money on it. I need a Terry Bolero and some knickers way more.

    Not yet....but I'd try it

    Thumbs up Yes!

    Susan,

I tried to order some of that Ozone company stuff from Terry but it was backordered. YES! It's cold here in Wyoming! Even in the summer, morning temps can be 40ish. Right now, I'm lucky if it starts out at 18 degrees and warms to 35. So seeing as I'd like to be riding right now, I'm searching for other options besides my tights and wind pants.

I've been wanting to try embrocations for years, ever since Selene Yeager wrote about them in Bicycling. But just have never run into them. I'd be your first customer ... be sure to post if you decide to carry them!

When I was running very long distances, I used these ALOT. These days I don't have a need to use them, but I'll bet if I was still running I would. I suspect some of the tri gals might be interested.

So yes, if I had the need. But right now, no. So I'm not sure how to vote!

OK, I'll show my ignorance here. (and the peanut gallery whispers "so what's new?")

What is this you-all are talking about? It seems to be a magic potion of some sort, but what exactly is it supposed to do? And why would I want some if I knew?

    Thank you.

    A wild guess...

    MOB,

I'm guessing that these will do a couple of things if applied right before a ride:

    A) Make your legs feel warmer

    B) Get blood circulating to actually "warm up" your muscles

But since I've never tried them, I don't really know! The weather can swing 60 degrees in a day here, so whatever help I can get with the nippy mornings, I'd love to try.
