    Thread Drift

I am probably the worst offender...

But how we handle it on my pigeon list is:

    Racing Pigeons

    Egg Buyer was Racing Pigeons

(Start a new thread with an appropriate name, that traces back to the original thread.)

Not saying we should do that- just that's how the mailing list stays in order.

Then- if we want to call a particular person's attention to a thread:

    Racing Pigeons- Julie

I'm sorry I cause so much thread drift...

Does anyone want to see a picture of my turtle? ;-)

I love thread drift! It's what the real world is like!

It seems like managing it is a limitation in the computer-human interface - if only we could "map" out thread drift visually - like a road map or a flowchart - then a reader could drift with the thread, or navigate just to the posts that connect with solid lines....

(granted this is the only forum I paprticipate inexcept for searching nerdy programmer forums (fora?) for specific issues, and those NEVER have thread drift...)

    Is that like continental drift?

On my "other" forum there's a Random thread that is just that, whatever comes to mind, random.

I have an annoying chin hair.

Are there tri-athlete racing pigeons? and do they have cute little racing pigeon jerseys with matching socks?

I love thread drift except when we're trying to organize the herd of cats for a ride. It is so hard to get them all onto one bicycle.

I made chocolate chip cookies and changed tires on Fluffy and Thom's bike while they were in the oven.

    Thread drift amuses me.

    Too flat.

You can join me on my century on Sunday though. My house to Morgan Territory, up Diablo, down Diablo, through Clayton and back to Antioch. I'll give you a cookie or two.

I would have about 30 posts to my name if it weren't for thread drift.

I went ten pin bowling tonight for the first time in eight years or so (and probably about the fifth time in my life). I lost, twice, and yes, I'd love to see pix of the turtle.

We're everywhere. Except, apparently, all tucked up in bed where we should have been as soon as we got home some 90+ minutes ago.

    Thread drift is good.

I wanna see a picture of the turtle, too!
