I'd only heard about the show in passing, but it looks interesting -- will have to check out the first season now. Also, fun clip! Cobblestones are the very devil.

I haven't watched the "Call the Midwife" series much after the first few episodes, although I've always meant to - but here is a delightful behind-the-scenes look at the challenges the actors face riding bicycles for the show (which were the midwives' main form of transportation).

It's a great programme with good storylines and gives a good idea of what London was like in the 60s. You'll enjoy it
I think my partner has the complete series on DVD. I just don't have time to be watching the tely (SP) TV, but my partner really loved the series. See a glimpse of life in London back in the '50s with how women are treated; how poor are treated; to the social structure and fabric of society. Sometimes very funny, sometimes very sad but always very engaging. I ended up watching several episodes.
I will confess that I am hooked. The DH is off on a bike tour this week and I have watched an episode every night. Great scene in the 2nd season of the main character riding among several men - all commuting over the cobblestones.

I may have to start a new binge watching marathon, now that I'm all caught up on Scandal and Outlander!
