Oops I did it again! (new bike)

Well, many of you know I was working at my local Trek shop this season. They offered us 1 bike per year at their awesome discount. A few weeks ago they changed this rule to 2 bikes per year per employee. The only rule was it had to be a different type of bike. Road vs Mountain etc. I already got an awesome dual suspension mountain bike earlier in the year so, I decided to pick up a new road bike.

    How can a girl resist.

The thing is I already have a nice 10speed road bike (Trek Lexa) BUT I saw the Lexa in Purple Lotus color and it HAD TO BE MINE!!!!!! It is a 1016 Lexa C (8 speed drivetrain) I know, I know......... I have a better bike already -- why go from a 10speed to 8 speed drivetrain??

Maybe it's the artist in me but, the color spoke to me. It is gorgeous!! and I can always upgrade the drivetrain later on if I want. I did get a fantastic deal on it.

Purple always speaks to me-as do major discounts. It was meant to be!

Amazing how much color is a factor for women in buying! I've tried to rule it out in my bike search, but it keeps coming into the picture when other factors are equal. Beautiful color and fun to ride as well I am sure.
