Going to Du it in 2015

I got two early Christmas presents from DH: 2 race registrations for 2015. They are both sprint duo's - the first being 1.5/10/3.1 miles and the second 2/19.5/3.3 miles. I'm really looking forward to it and I think the distances are perfect for my first races. I would not mind going up to 10 miles total running and 30 or so cycling if I can find any races like that, but I don't want to take away from my weight lifting too much. Plus I will have to start thinking about cyclocross training and finding some races. 2015 is going to be exciting!

I would try a tri but 1. I don't like swimming around a bunch of other people - Coast Guard bootcamp turned me off from that when I got kicked in the head a few times - and 2. I don't really have anywhere to train for swimming.
