Our golden retriever has been to lot of classes. Lost count some time ago. He did earn his canine good citizenship but barely. The golden in the video is just like ours. I need some good laugh. OUr golden, Flynny Winnie, will leave it but only when he knows that he is working. Otherwise, all bets are off with him.

you just have to love golden's and their quirks!!! We had one through my youth. Any chance he got he would snuggle his huge head to my chest and give me his ‘pet me’ sigh. He also always wanted to lay on my feet. I had a teddy bear that he loved to suck the eyes and ears on. He was sad whenever I took it to the washer to get the grossness off and it was traumatic for a couple of days when he ripped it open beyond repair and I had to get rid of it. I miss him…..

I saw that video earlier today, made me laugh out loud! I used to have Border Collies, kind of the antithesis of that breed.

I think it ended in a draw. But she definitely won the first 5.
I just gave up when I realized she was smarter than me.

We're wanting the puggle to take up agility. I think he'd do well but he might end up being more like that golden.

I love how the Benny Hill music starts with the Golden's round. We had a black lab/spaniel mix many years ago who would have been just like that! I bet that dog was puking his guts out afterwards! (the many trips to the vet for garbage gut bring that to mind)

At our house we call her Gertie, our 11 yr old chocolate lab with major short-term memory issues (Sit? Really? Don't think I know that word). Maybe we've been speaking to her in the wrong language. English doesn't seem to work for her! And then there is her little sister Lucy, the beagle. She would have eaten everything in site in that video and looked for more! Oh yes, the vet bills and expensive special food from garbage gut. I'd love to get rid of the safety latch under the sink, but that's where we keep the waste basket.

I just busted out laughing here at work.

I think my BC's knew more words than some of my co-workers.

Treat! Now that's one word they both know! Come, sit, stay -- not so much!

He's starting to learn tricks. When we adopted him from Seattle Humane he understood Spanish. So try different languages.
