    How exciting! Gorgeous new bike!

By the way Irulan, thanks to you and all the other Teamestrogen members, I have gotten MUCH better at mountain biking (the guys that rode with me one year ago noticed a HUGE improvement in me, especially regarding the descents).

A lot of the descents are still difficult for me since I am slow (which makes steep descents bumpier because I ride TOO slow) and I still can't help looking at all the dangerous cliffs, cracks, and small drop offs that I should NOT be focusing on. But I am better at line picking now. Maybe as I get better,in a few years, I too can go 27.5 instead of staying with my 29er (I still really like the 29er grip on the descents) because the 27.5 bike size would fit my small 5ft 1inch body better.

Pedals and all add ons are Diety. Except for the crank bolts; not sure what those are. Tiger Mom, ever find a clinic in your area?

I took one Intermediate Flow class (lasted about 4 hours) through Ride Like a Ninja with Richard La China. The class helped me greatly with learning how to pull in a rowing motion while going up hill and how to pick my lines a lot better. I am signed up for a one day downhill Intermediate clinic in October. I am really looking forward to that class because I know I go too slow downhill to be a really competent mountain biker. But, hey, I already greatly improved from before, so I hope to continue to get better and better. I do NOT bomb quickly downhill yet, but at least I am not going slower than molasses anymore.

Plus, for my 2014 Christmas and birthday present, I asked my husband for a "future raincheck" for a weekend mountain bike clinic vacation in 2015 for the two of us.

So, yes, I definitely think that bike clinic lessons are very helpful and would highly recommend them!

It's sign up season. What did you decide?
