Ladies, meet Judy, my first MTB. She's a pre-walmart 1998 Mongoose NX 7.5 Pro. Better than NOS, she's been upgraded to a 9spd drivetrain 12-36t cassette, new chain, shifters, cables, WTB Moto 2.3" tires, Shimano SPD's... I can't wait to get her on the trail tomorrow. I named her Judy partly because her fork is a Rock Shox Judy, and partly because that's my moms' name.
She's soooo shiny. I <3 her.

Cool I love the older hardtails...
Have you taken her out riding yet? Fun!

I sure have! Judy is stable steed; Nice and dependable, which is exatly what a Newb like me needs. The guys at my LBS says she can be converted to disc brakes - it has the places in the frame for them, but I do just fine right now with the V-Brakes. I have no desire to go over the handlebars any more than necessary
