Ran 8 miles on Saturday. There were slow but I have a 10 mile trail run this coming Sunday. Ran 3 today. It was cool, overcast and low humidity. Probably the last comfortable run for a while!

Good Luck Oak! Watching it on TV now!

Oakleaf is smoking the marathon. She is running at an 8:37 pace, with a projected finish of 3:45.

Naw, I was planning on positive splits but I just didn't have it for the hills. Crossed that beautiful line in 3:53:42. I'm happy and VERY sore.

Oakleaf, that was awesome indeed! I do think that qualifies as "smoking" it

Awesome, Oak! Looked like a beautiful day. I'm very impressed.
I recorded it on my DVR and had chills when I finally looked like Meb would win!
Not sure I could ever qualify...but maybe I'll get serious and try.

Great job again, Oak. Rest up and celebrate!

Congrats Oak!! You should be proud of your accomplishment--first qualifying, and then finishing with a very respectable time. Way to go! I'm with katluvr as far as feeling like I'd be unlikely to qualify...just not a speedy runner (or cyclist, or swimmer, or...). In any case, if I were to do a marathon I think a trail race would be more up my alley anyway.

Sunny and warm this AM, at least the humidity is low still. It's been a nice and cool a times April, it can get hot quick here in FL. Doubt we will experience anymore cool fronts. Anyways, had a good 5 miler this AM. Time to rest the legs for my 10 mile trail run on Sunday.
