Women's bike clubs, rides ... separate or mixed? Opinions.

My "other sport" is martial arts. I was thinking about the Aikido women's camp and got started thinking about the subject. In terms of Aikido I've always trained with men also and been treated like "one of the guys".

I enjoyed the few women's bike club rides I've been on (Velo Girls) and a women only century (Cinderella). The flavor and characteristics are very different then mixed. Bit I have no issue with a mixed ride group other than being slower as I age. So now more than before I'd feel like I'm holding people back.
