I've seen links to this AP story in several of my local newspapers yesterday and today. Way cool!

Have you seen ELF? hard to describe... best to check it out at http://www.organictransit.com/features/ add door panels and fenders for the two front wheel and you should stay bit more dry.
It's too pedantic for me but uber practical. They are setting up a distribution center in Portland Or is last I heard. Dutch cargo bike is very practical. I wish more people would consider it.
And yes, I've seen lot of Xtracycles around town (Portland). I've even seen a specially built bike with a keg and taps... not sure how legal that is.
lol… it looks like a "banquet" liquor license covers a beer bike here in Seattle - it does specify that no drinks may leave the bike area…. I guess it's similar to licensing a beer garden here. Looks like pedaling and drinking may not be legal in Portland at this time though…
here's what Seattle Cycle Saloon says.. "Cans of beer and boxed wine are permitted on the CycleSaloon if the group obtains a banquet permit from the Washington Liquor Control board. All drinks must be poured into cups provided by the riders. Drinks are never allowed to leave the bike. Please refer to https://liq.wa.gov/licensing/online-banquet-permit." Sounds like some of the same rules that govern tailgating also apply here…
