    Fall Has Arrived

Sunday we went out to our local park and did some exploring. It's almost all fire roads, but it's got some really steep climbing. In an 11 mile ride, we climbed (and descended ) over 1300 feet. It's a cattle range in the winter and we had our first rain storm last week, so some of the roads are a mess already. It just adds to the climbing fun and makes the descents a little more interesting.

At the beginning of the ride. It was about 55 degrees, so a lightweight wool jersey and knee warmers.

Almost at the the top. I pushed the knee warmers down when I stopped at one of the switchbacks. It doesn't take long to warm up when you're climbing!

Sounds like a tough but fun ride, Veronica. Good going!
