This link covers 2 subjects:

(1) an informative blog post about the Dutch American Friendship Treaty (with the unfortunate acronym "DAFT"), which may offer a relatively easy way to live in the Netherlands for you entrepreneurial types (sounds really simple compared to normal visa procedures).

(2) an interesting video (unrelated to the DAFT) about how the city of Groningen was well-designed for cycling. One of the key points is identified early in the video: similar to many cities in the Netherlands, Groningen is a very contained area geographically - no urban sprawl. And I must say by shooting this video in what appears to be summertime, it is much easier to make daily cycling look so pleasant - the climate is not so ideal all year around! (And please don't let discussion of this video turn into a debate about wearing helmets).
