Home Rental Info for Tahoe area?

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I have a friend in Australia who is looking to rent a home in the Tahoe area for a few months. Does anyone know of a rental agency, or agent who is reputable I could refer them too?

She is looking to share a home with a few friends during their stay in the US.

Thanks for any help my TE friends!

I can suggest a great website where she might be able to find just what she is looking for. It is called Vacation Rentals By Owner. The link is: http://www.vrbo.com/

FYI I'd highly recommend North shore (Tahoe City/Kings Beach) over south shore. South is more commercial, strip malls, casinos, etc. North shore is generally quieter, and there are lots of trails accessible for hiking/biking.

It may be tough to find a VRBO that's available for a few months. Generally people have ski leases or summer leases set up in advance. You might also check local realtors.

I imagine this little piece of advice will be MOST helpful maillotpois, I appreciate it. I've passed on your advice to my Aussie friend, I'm sure she will appreciate it.

What great folks we have on this forum, it never fails to amaze me.
