    Hi all,

I haven't posted in a while because DH and I have been on tour, and what a tour. We started in Anacortes, WA and ended in Bar Harbor, Maine, then went to Poughkeepsie and rode to Baltimore! It was the most fantastic time I can imagine. The karma was all good and we had wonderful weather for the most part. It rained three days in Montana, a half day in North Dakota, a half day in Michigan and 5" in Maine on Labor Day, and that was all. We had only two or three really hot days, and one of them was the last day!

You can read all about it here:

Oh boy, I can't wait to read your report! I have forwarded it on to my DH, as he is considering doing the Northern Tier next summer if his body holds up! He just turned 60 this week, and riding cross-country has been a dream of his for as long as I can remember.

If he does it, I will be traveling along with our dog and riding when I want (like when I get to our nightly stop, riding back to meet up with him). I did this when he rode the Katy Trail this fall, and it worked out pretty well. I am not sure my body (pelvic fracture in '05) would allow me to ride the entire thing, and since we have Paisley, we think this would be the best way for us to allow him to make his dream come true.

Congratulations on your accomplishment and thanks for posting!
