I "watched" a couple of my nephew's college baseball games on LiveStats last spring. They were playoff games and he's a freshman relief pitcher. It was a much more interesting way to follow a game than I had expected, and positively nerve-wracking when my nephew was pitching. (He saved one game but gave up the winning run in another.)
The thing about bike races and other sporting events on other continents is that I usually need to record them and watch them after the fact due to the time difference. As far as I know, you can't do that with live-streamed events on the internet.
