Paul Mini Moto or TRP CX9?

I hate my cantilever brakes on my Surly Cross Check and want to get some mini v brakes. I've looked at a lot of reviews online. What say you all?

Don't know as I'm looking at some TRP's for the Cross I'm picking up tomorrow, but when I posted about this months ago (after testing a Cross Check) a lot of people said they replaced the stock pads on their cross checks with Cool Stop pads, and had no further problems.

    Just something to consider.

I guess it depends why you hate the current cantis. I have Tektro CR720s on my cross bike with red Kool Stop pads and they've been great.

IMO, all of the stock pads are junk, even the "good" ones. I've had XTR pads tear up rims.

    Here is the thread.
Becky, could you provide a link to some pads you recommend?

Edit: these would work for cantilevers?

My cantis have the longer v-brake shoes, so I use these in red (all conditions): http://www.koolstop.com/english/v_type.html. A description of the different compound types can be found at http://www.koolstop.com/english/compounds.html. DH has used the black (dry conditions) pads on his cross bike with equally good results, and he's quite a bit bigger than me.
