Hey there. First post here.
I'm planning my first tour (Dublin, Ireland to a small town in Scotland). As I've never done any touring before I'm looking for some suggestions and/or encouragement.
I've yet to decide if I will train up to Belfast and get a Ferry across or if I should cycle that part too - obviously adds to the time/cost, but it might be nice to say I cycled the whole way (apart from the sea). I'm definitely cycling the Scotland part at any rate. I find it hard to gauge how much that would be taking on though, and if it's too much for a first timer.
Any thoughts? I will be within 'rescue' range at all times as I'm going to visit a friend.
Been poking around the forums a little today - seems like a nice place, glad I found it!
Thanks
Dorothy
