Melody will have "my glucose meter with me."

Mel, can they integrate that with wireless Flightdeck?

I have no clue on my average speed these days, generally I'm slow but just seem to go and go and....but any time at any speed on the bike with friends is fine.

One thing I've noticed in spin class -- my HR can be getting scary, but I can still sing along with the music (quietly so as not to freak anybody out). So, tell you what ... if it's getting late and we need to hustle, I can sing and that'll get everybody else moving just to get out of earshot.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

ride4ur_life is heading "to Casa Orozco in Livermore.. They have mucho bueno food, libations (I'll stick to iced tea till after the ride), music and really nice atmosphere.. anyone want to join us, just let me know and how many.."

    what do you gals think?

Bikeless, we can sing Monty Python songs...."I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok..." should get the gals up the hill "aaack, get it out of my head!"

Slink, yep, Peets is best, and it's Lance's fave (bet they did not test for that on TdF). Peets even has a cycling jersey!

I don't see the cycling jersey any longer but they do have some Scharffen Berger chocolate, another award winning Berkeley product.

Here's the link in case any one just has to try Peet's. I know the coffee is starting to be stocked in more stores but if you don't have one near you, here you go.

    >>> BikeMomma: seeing stars at the mere mention of Starbucks....climbing walls of cubicle 'cause she's at work....now planning walk down the street to the nearest Sbux on her afternoon break <<<

What?! You mean there's somethin' better than Starbucks??! Somebody point the way.....problem is, there's not a Peets around here! Sure, get the junkie hooked on a new place 80 miles away from home....that is just torture! heehee

(good memory Snap! Hey Cindy -- we have another thing in common, I guess!)

    Have a good day, Girrrlzzz
