    thinking about du'ing

I've kind of fallen off the racing radar since I was told I couldn't swim distances anymore. It hit me harder than I thought it would. I was sort of lost without a summer exercise goal. And I had really wanted to try to beat my half-Iron time.

Well, I've found a duathlon series in Reno that I'm thinking about trying. I don't know much about duathlons. I'm assuming it's a lot like tri'ing with the way you set up your transitions and such. It's exciting to think about trying something new. I like having a goal again.

I have done a few. Not too much different than a tri. The main difference for me is that I normally do not warm up that much for a triathlon. Just a quick swim. For a duathlon you need to warm up more, for obvious reasons. They are fun, I am sure you will have a good time. It seems so streamlined after setting up transition for a tri.

Sorry you can't swim anymore. I would be rocked by that news too.
