    New Bike for Christmas

    DH bought me the road bike I have been eyeing at my LBS for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It is a 2012 Trek Lexa SL (Compact double).

    Since it was a 2012, we got an awesome deal on it. It has full Tiagra and is a 10 speed. I sold my Bianchi with Sora, this past summer and has sellers remorse so, I really wanted a road bike again, even though I do enjoy my mountain bike and CX bike a lot. I just missed having a road bike. I already have 4 road cycling events marked off on tha calendar and plan to do a century in the Fall


    The Trek fits me like a glove. Trek bikes WSD just fit my body type really well but, I always stayed away since you see Treks everywhere....but this time I just went for the great fit and great deal---I learned my lesson The Bianchi never really felt right to me.

    It has Matte black and white with aqua (my favorite color) accents.

    I went to LBS last night and picked up some Bontrager aqua bar tape for later that matches perfectly (when the white gets icky), and some road shoes. I also got a Saris Freedon hitch rack for the truck, with my bonus as well.

    Now, I just can not wait to ride her this Spring

    Yes, Knight on the hearth....love him


    It is a really small tree but we like it, this was Tiger's (dog in photo) first Christmas and I had to put a baby gate around the tree. He likes eating the fake snow off the branches.


    We are still in the process of redoing the kitchen/fam. room so, we do not have carpeting in there yet.
