Pictures! (I'm the one in the salmon outfit.)

I had more tequila shots during my 45 minute race than I've had all year. What an amazing time!

Next year it will be in Philly. Hopefully I will see some of you there.

    BRING IT.

The good news is that if you didn't have a real SS build, they were ok if you just ziptied your shifters. My husband did that, but was still flummoxed by having his derailleur get bogged down with mud. Hee!

I love my SS bike, but now I'm all jonesing to upgrade it to a SUPER SS: get some nice tubular wheels, Chris King hubs, Ultimate shorty brakes...

We upgraded our SSCX bikes this season. Used C'dale frames with a BB adapter (eccentric BB to negate needing a chain tensioner). Moved all the high end parts from our geared CX bikes we were selling to the frames, including our carbon Reynolds tubular wheels, and Avid mini-V's. I think though that these are short-lived. We have discovered disc brakes for CX... Our main geared race bikes and pit bikes have already been replaced, and these are next.

We have a series here - will have done about 12 SSCX races by the end of the season!

Riding was ok (I had a rear fender on to keep the tail off the wheel) but WOOOBOY was mounting and dismounting a challenge. Let's just say that most of the pictures of me from this race: I'm not on my bike.

    Ah here we go

And proof that I could actually pedal!

Anyway, yes, you all should have been there, because it was spectacularly awesome and you all need to be there next year so I can share the love!
