    Padded Tights?

I'm in the market for some tights with a chamois. I have plenty of unpadded tights but I hate how they feel when paired with cycling shorts. All that fabric around my waist is just uncomfortable. Does anybody have any recommendations? I'm on the short side, so I'd prefer tights that aren't crazy long. I also hate ankle zippers, so I'd prefer tights without them. While it's not unheard of for me to ride outside in really cold temps, I think I'm looking for a cool weather tight that takes me down to about 32 degrees. If it's much colder than that, I'll probably opt to wear tights and over shorts/knickers anyway, just so I have two layers on my butt.

I like my Terry tights with chamois. The petite length is nice too.

Sheebeest Tech tights had no zips at the bottom of them. However the fabric wasn't very windbloking (but was warm). Wonder what their new collection will include.

I wear the Terry liner that came with my baggy shorts when I wear tights for riding. It is a nice chamois and if it is the same that is in their padded tights then it might be a good choice for you - if you like their chamois.

Indy - have you looked at bib tights? In the winter, I wear shorts with a chamois under a bib tight. This reduces the middle bulk, helps to keep my back warm, ensures my jersey isn't leaving my back exposed, and is incredibly comfortable. It's a bit of a PITA if you have to pee, but I usually don't have to go when I am out riding.

    Just a thought.

    I'd go with these:

Shorter inseam, no leg zips, LOVE the chamois (I know this is a very personal thing, but this one is a fave of mine) and the fabric is nice and warm. Also LOVE the Hugg Fit Waist - no pressure from too tight elastic.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, Susan, and to everyone else for their suggestions. The LG tight was one I definitely had my eye on. I'll have to direct DH to it (it's my xmas present). That's a nice price point for the tight, too.

That's the same chamois that comes with the Neo Power shorts. I can't comment on the tights but I agree that the chamois is very nice.
