    Helmets

I've been using a mid-range Giro helmet for about a year, and, while it fits my head snugly, the chin straps are too long. I have a small face and even with the straps adjusted up as short as they'll go, there's still a little more space between the strap and my chin than I'd like.

Also, it's not a terribly attractive helmet and I'm sick of looking like a dork. Any suggestions for a non-ugly small helmet, preferably $50 or under and with a visor?

PS. I was considering this one:

I used to have a giro helmet but found it never felt quite right. Last year I bought a Met 5th Element which I love. It has an adjustable retention system at the back (specialized do something similar) which means you can fine tune the fit.
Look where you want to go...

I go to my LBS and have them help me select one that fits my head correctly.

I have a Bell. It fits my head pretty well. Thom uses a Giro. I second Irulan and get the LBS to help you get fitted correctly.

Thanks all. I'll go to my LBS and get fitted and see what happens.
