Finished My First Century : )

Did my first Century yesterday. I am kind of addicted to them now. My goal was to finish around 6 hours. Finished in 5:29.13 The wind was brutal in the back section of the route and the hills, yeah, they sucked but I loved the challenge. Totally a blast.

Which one did you do? I did one yesterday too! Same issues, wind, hills, but not nearly as fast of a time as yours!

Tour De Lacs in Fenton. Which one did you do? I know there was Ride For A cure in Ann Arbor yesterday as well.

My time doesn't include two rest stops so not exactly sure what it was if you included stops. My bike computer stop watch stops timing when the wheels stop turning so probably 5:45 if you include the two stops to fill up water bottles.

Yes, it was Susan G Komen. There were a lot of rest stops but generally our ride time is around 7 hours at best, so you're doing great!

Yeah I heard it was a super hilly ride. My friend did the Komen yesterday as well.

The guy I was ridding with yesterday was training for an Ironman so the goal was to stop only if we had to. Trust me, i would have liked to have stopped more often myself lol Trying to scarf down gels and Bonk bars while riding and trying to breath at the same time sucks.

Wow! That time is incredible! Weren't you asking about racing in your intro thread? (I thought I remembered that you used to race motorcycles? Or is that someone else?) Go for it! Congratulations!

We were advised to eat the GU they handed our before the last hill. EEWww! It was all I could do to keep it down! It was a super hilly ride. I was quite surprised!
