    1,566 watts. Does not compute.

    Whoa.

As seen below, Andre Greipel completed Stage 4 with an average power of 193 watts. This is a fairly low power average for a larger cyclist like Greipel. We can therefore conclude that Andre Greipel was very well protected and worked strategically with his team during the stage. He entered the final in a reasonably fresh state and was able to do the last 20 minutes of the stage with an average power of 334 watts and in the final meters delivered a 1,566 watt sprint.

That's why sprinters have thighs like giant oak trees.

I often wonder how they find jeans that fit...

    - Red hardtail 26" aluminum mountain bike, Bontrager Evoke WSD saddle
    - Royal blue 2018 aluminum gravel bike, Rivet Pearl saddle

    Gone but not forgotten:

    - Two awesome worn out Juliana saddles

Yeah, over 1,500 watts seems impossible! But so does a sub-4 minute mile or a sub-3 hour marathon...

But remember, SK, Greipel isn't wearing shiny red Sidi shoes!

Wow, nice post, thanks! 193W average sure is low especially for someone his size! So awesome, and just goes to show how team work is key. And the kick to the line? Yowza. I could only ever dream of 4 digits on my PowerTap.
