    Reporting spam?

Is there a "report spam" button on these windows anywhere? Bad enough I have to clean out my inbox of emails promising to enlarge body parts I don't even have, now they're appearing in... a WOMENS cycling forum????

Actually, that's kind of funny. The idiot who posted it obviously didn't even check to see what kind of online forum it was. No customers here, mate!

There is a little triangle with a "!" in it right below the persons name where they posted. If you click on it you can report the post as spam. Unfortunately, for some reason you can only report one post every 240 seconds or so.

I searched ALL over that thread this morning for a report feature, but I didn't find one either.

It's the little red triangle with the exclamation point underneath the avatar, next to the green button that says whether you're online.

Stuff like that one is easy enough to ignore It's the ones who actually contribute something relevant to the discussion that make it hard ... when they're obviously there just to spam, but the post itself isn't reportable, and there's no blanket policy against links in sig lines or posts ...

I report those posts as well if the person has almost no posts. It still is spam. Someone in the last few days had a user name that was a spammy name and links to the same sort of spam in the signature. So what if they managed to grind out one sentence on topic, it still is spam.

I always report spam, using the little red triangle under the user name. Like Goldfinch I report even if some attempt has been made to keep the post on-topic, they're not posting to contribute but to take.

The current crop of "drive by posting" spam is trying to boost their client's Google ranking by having lots of links to their web page(s). They probably don't even care if real forums users follow the links or not.

Yep. That's been going on for a while.

I like the latest one. Paraphrase the OP in not-quite-English ...

    Bump.

If anyone is looking and or moderating we’ve been inundated once more.

Here’s how to report and clean it up.

Little triangle with the exclamation point will report the post, and the moderators/admins will get an email.
