Hi Rina,
Looking forward to see the picture of the event. I'm planning to do my first event (35 miler) next week.

Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday was a great day to venture out in TX for my first cycling event. TX is trying to become more cycle friendly, and held a bike census event. So they asked that you come out and take a picture with your bike. Then next week your friends and others vote on the face of communiting in TX.
The weather was perfect for a day out with my bike Samatha. Pictures to come.

I second the motion for the picture. We'd love to see it. (Of course, I haven't the nerve to post my picture yet so I guess I don't have room to talk. I've only participated in two cycling events - the first one I was terrified going to it, and was very surprised when we ran into DH's cousin at it. Second was awesome - no nerves or anything.
Maye - If you think you can get over this far west, I highly recommend the Withlacoochee Rails to Trail Ride in October. I did 14 the first year, 30 last year, and DH and I are planning to hit either the metric century or century for 2012.
rina, wasn't it a beautiful day yesterday. Could not have been a more perfect riding day. Congrats on completing your first bike event. Hope you have many more with equally nice weather.

What a cool set of pictures! It was fun to see all the different people with such a variety of bikes.
