    Hello, I'm Bree.

I'm new, I'm 24 from Central New York. I haven't done more than cycling to and from work for the most part. My whole life my bikes have all been hand me down until recently. I've got some health issues and I'm tired of letting them rule my life. Part of my big life change was to sign up for a road ride. 15miles in the ADA tour de cure. The guys at the local Dicks Sporting goods store paired me up with a DBX Crestwood and so far I really love it. I've been peeking around the forums and I'm excited to get to know you all and learn more about everyday cycling.

Welcome to TE, Bree! Commuting is a great way to incorporate cycling into your daily life - and you are already doing that! Having a specific ride to look forward to is great motivation to increase your miles, and 15 miles is very do-able. When is the ride?

The ride is June 3rd. I'm already up to 8-9 miles on the local flat trail with little problem except my time, which will take practice to get better.

Welcome!! I'm over in WNY! 15 miles is certainly doable. You should have a great time.

    Welcome!
Those 15 miles are going to be awesome, especially riding alongside other cyclists. Before you know, it'll be over and on to the next goal.

The tour had a lot of options for distance but since I'm still new to all of this I chose the shortest which was the 15. Might as well start small and work my way up.
