    To disable ads, please log-in.

today's ride was signs of spring road kill( young skunks and raccoons), turtle rescue x3, all rescued from committing suicide on the road, the first of the seasons bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush, a slight sunburn (in spite of of sunscreen) shows how winter lilly white my skin has become, and 50 miles in 2:20 for an average speed of 15.1 mph with another 20 miles or so in the legs!

Nicely done! I always feel so bad when I see a smashed turtle. I stop and move them too.

And I should be back from sunny Arizona. Maybe a trip to REI? Or continue to torture me to look at neighborhoods I can't afford to move to?

One unwelcome sign of spring: I was bitten by a mosquito last night.
I know it has been unseasonably warm but we are not supposed to HAVE mosquitoes in Delaware in March. Not a good sign, bug-wise, for the rest of the season.
