Talking TE December Indoor Cycling Challenge

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Avoid the holiday 5 pound gain and join the indoor cycling challenge! You can do your choice of videos, rock out to music, watch a movie or Dancing with the Stars. You just gotta ride your bike - rollers, trainer, spin classes. Whatever. And I don't really care if you want to count your outside time as well. It's YOUR goal.

How many hours can we spend collectively riding indoors? 100? 200? I figure I'm good for 10 - 2 hours per week, plus an extra hour each week I'm off.

I've set up a google spreadsheet to track progress. It is open to editing by anyone who has the link, so if you want to sign up, I'll send you the link in a PM.

    Happy Riding!

Sure! I'm off the outside-bike for the moment as it is.

    I'm IN!!!
I commit to 30 hours of riding in December- that's roughly 7 hours a week. Shouldn't be too hard since almost 4 hours a week is spent commuting.

Yay! I'm so excited to have a challenge. Now... if the pain in my leg turns out to NOT be a stress fracture and I'm able to run again soon- my cycling time might go down and the running time up. However, if it IS a stress fracture, my cycling time might shoot up to 50 hours in December. I'll find out Friday.

I forgot to say - I put the start date in so if you wanted to start earlier - you could. Or start later.

I was hoping I could start today, but my head and neck are still not 100% after crashing from my handstand on Sat. and they were aching after my day with the kiddos. My kids were great, amazingly quiet this morning.

I don't have ride time planned until Thursday now - which is the first.

I'm in. I'm aiming for 2 hours a week for a total of 8 hours for December. I'm shooting low and fully expect to make it.

    Great idea and very inspirational!

With my neck injury I think I want to set my time lower than I would like - so if I exceed that it will be good. I think 5 hours a week is reasonable, between spinning classes and trainer time.
