how do you make a chain stiff?

I know how to loosen a stiff chain, but what if you want to make a chain stiff on purpose? I have an idea about making a peace sign out of a chain, to hang on a necklace, for my daughter. But I don't know how to make the chain stay in the right shape. Guess I could leave it out in the shed all winter to rust into place, lol!

    I haven't done this but...

Try taking your chain breaker tool, and put it on the links you want to stiffen, as though you were closing the chain. If you clamp it together too tightly, it will be stiff.

On the other hand, that sounds like a lot of work

I have to admit that some of the suggestive suggestions don't astonish me.
I'll try out some of the less suggestive suggestions.
