I had my BIA this morning. Made some really good improvements, specifically intra and extra-cellular water. My body fat % was relatively the same as 6 months ago, but cinched down a titch to 22% and muscle mass is up from 34% to 38%. yay!

Great tip on splitting intensity. Yesterday I would consider my ride 1/2 high, 1/2 moderate. Only because it was a hilly ride for my area with a lot of headwind, normally I would think 1/4 but this is one of the harder routes. But there were times it wasn't as hard like you said. That brought it down to 31 points, much more reasonable than 44. And I still didn't eat half those. I have my online set up to swap daily, I can't see using them on another day. Maybe when I am racing I need a little more food the next day but I have the allowance for that, right?
I too find their intensity overstated for cycling. It is closer for mountain biking and spin (in my opinion) but road seems way off especially on the mph calculations!

Bright and early this moring: 116
This is a big drop in a week. I think that I am not dehydrated, beyond what is typical in the morning. But I've been on a plateau for a few weeks so maybe this is a break. Or last week I was over hydrated.
Calories average 1362 per day.
152 for me this morning. Leaving on another extra-long weekend camping trip. Must back away from the s'mores!

185.4 today for me. Not what I'd hoped for given how much I've ramped up my workouts. I think I need to completely cut back on carbs again. *sigh*
136. Not what I hoped, but thankfully it is only 2 pounds higher than a year ago this week. That is encouraging...
233.2 this morning.
2.2 down, 7.8 to go!
155.5 at last weigh-in.

Things are going well. I took out the mountain bike to the local store & post office the other day for the first time a month after surgery -- 5 miles round trip, flat, with some paved highway, some gravel trail -- and I was wiped out. But it feels great!

I weighed in at 140.0, so no change for me this week. I wasn't expecting big numbers because I focused on eliminating processed foods from my diet this week instead of cutting calories and increasing exercise. So I will monitor intake a little closer and ramp up the calorie burning activities this week.

Hi gang! <waves>
I'm in a similar situation as many of you; I went thru some major life upheavals over the last year or so, and decided I would cut myself some slack while I licked my wounds and regrouped. And naturally, in the process, I gained back some weight. Not a gawdawful amount, but enough to be annoying.
Anyhow, enough of the lollygagging. I'd be joining in right now, but, errr, DH and I are about to go away for a week. I'm all about the timing.
So I'll join in when I return (heh, hopefully I won't add too many vacation pounds to the mix).
In the meantime, I'll be cheering you all on. Good luck!
