    Seagull Century 2011

    Hello all

Anyone doing this? I am training and this will be my first century ride.

    Which ride option is "better"?

Does anyone know if switching options at the last minute is possible (meaning if one is more exposed to the wind I keep hearing about, and it's windy, maybe switching to the other one would be better on the weekend of the ride).

This will be my second century, weather permitting. I choose the Assateague century ride. From what I have read this route can be more windy than the other option. You gave me something to think about.

I am planning on doing the Seagull this year. We haven't decided which ride we want to do, but I have ridden the roads around and to Assateague Island. There is some wind, but it is not unbearable. If you are used to riding hills, the wind won't be too challenging.

I usually attend these things with my boyfriend, who rides 1-2 mph faster than me. If anyone is interested in meeting up, I'd love to ride with some of you. Since it is flat, I am shooting for 17-19 mph pace.

    B
