RubySoho and I are planning to ride from Sterling to Purcellville on Saturday. It'll be at a nice, easy pace. Any other NoVa TE'ers interested in joining us?

BTW, how far is it from Sterling to Purcellville? I know it's about 54 round-trip if you start from Reston Town Center.

Also, if you want a good hill -- Dry Mill Rd intersects the trail three times in Leesburg. Heading west, if you turn left on Dry Mill the first time it crosses the trail, it will take you generally up hill all the way to Charlestown Pike, which is the third time they intersect. It's a fun downhill treat going the other way.

Turn left on Woodburn Rd from Dry Mill (when you're heading west) for a granny-gear hill. I'm not real familiar with the roads out there so I just turn around at the end of Woodburn and head back to Dry Mill.

It is just over 40 miles if you start from the W&OD parking lot off pacific blvd.

I love that hill on Woodburn and try to go up at least once if not twice on my ride to Clarkes Gap/Purcellville.
