    29er town tires

Our Kona 29ers have become our favorite around-town rides. DH & I are trying out Halo Twin-rail tires. So far they are amazing!! Smooth (no buzz) and fast. I know I'll need to switch back to the Maxxis Ignitors if we do singletrack. I don't think this tread will handle rocky climbs/descents like the MTB tires. They sure are sweet for more casual riding! I think they'll do well on the crushed gravel of the Mickelson. I hope so. I was getting tired of the Ignitors throwing gravel back at me.

We've had a chance to test these tires on the Mickelson and have deemed them close to perfect. They don't kick up gravel like the Ignitors did. They smooth out the ride almost like an extra set of shocks. I don't think I would be very confident with them on very rocky downhills, though. For trekking/off-road touring, they are amazing! I might even get a set in 26" for the old Gary Fisher.
