The last bike I ever hope to buy....

    ...got picked up today.
My new commuter - a full-on custom Seven Cafe Racer. Built as a flat bar road bike with disc brakes, SRAM components (compact road crank up front (34-50) and a 10-spd bike cassette (12-32) in back, for uber-versatile gearing. Easton 29'er wheels. Winwood carbon cyclocross fork. Ride is awesome.

    The bike

Geeked out with reflective fish stickers...

One Less Car! (which is having a hard time sticking...and may come off )

    The crankset:

    The rear cassette:

    The cockpit:

I can see you're suffering with your three (!!!) Sevens

Looks like a gorgeous ride - I haven't followed the rest of your shenadoah thread - is this the bike you're taking?

What a cool bike! LOVE the fish! Where on earth did you find them?

Hope you have many, many happy miles together (but never say it's your last bike!).

    Thanks.
The fish came from right here at TE.

Cat...Not sure if I'm taking this on the Blue Ridge Parkway ride. I'll have only 3 days to get some mileage on it before we leave (mainly b/c of my schedule) - and 2 of them will only be commutes. Judging from my ride today - it wouldn't be a problem. But I am anxious to get my Ergon grips and bar ends on it - which would increase my hand comfort.

Very nice. Very nice that the longer chain stays vs. my Felt put the pannier far enough away so that heel strike is no longer an issue (toe overlap with the fender is, however... )Super comfy. Tracks really nice. Zippy. It is wonderfully quiet (except for the rubber straps of the rear fender, which kept thwapping against the spokes (until I found a twist tie in a pannier pocket. Was it you I was talking to recently about how neurotic I am about using and re-using twist ties?? Like McGyver...you can do ANYthing with twist ties! )).

Still getting used to the DoubleTap shifters... but it's coming along.

Gorgeous bike, 7!! Hope you enjoy many many miles on it.

Have a fun and safe BRP trip - maybe we'll see you on the northern end in a few days. If any way possible, let us know. We rode up there a couple weeks ago. It never gets old for me.

Beautiful! I wish you many happy miles together.

I'm thinking of converting my commuter over to SRAM Apex.
