Cannondale vs Scott

Hi everyone,

New to the site-so happy to have found it! I am getting my first cross bike, and what I orginally wanted was the Cannondale Cyclocross 6. Unfortunately, the shop I'm buying from informed me that Cannondale is completely sold out of these and I'll have to wait 8 weeks for one. Too long!

The comparable bike that my sales guy suggested is the Scott Addict CX comp. Does anyone have any experience with this bike or Scott's in general?

Or is there another Cannondale I could consider (not more than $1,600-the cyclocross 6 is $1,400)?

I can only speak to the Scott's in general part of your post.

I have a 2005 Scott CR1 Pro with stock setup (Campy Centaur).

I Love, Love, Love, my Scott. The frame is all cf, big tubes, stiff. She's a fast bike, a little twitchy, great on climbs. It's just a very good quality bike.
