Bike topics on National Public Radio today

There was a feature on All Things Considered this afternoon that included development of bike paths in Washington DC, and an interview with transportation secretary Ray LaHood (spelling?) about plans to encourage building more bike paths nationwide- including a possible national network. Did anyone else catch it?

I heard that and was very interested. I did not know that Gabe Klein is now DDOT head. He was the Zipcar guy in DC when I lived there. DC really is such a great place to get around by bike, and that's all within the last 10 years or so.

I only wish that Ray LaHood would ride his bike to work! Now that would be a statement, for the US Secretary of Transportation to ride his bike to work regularly!

Oh thanks. I want to hear that. A national network would be so cool.
